I was watching the PBS special on the Blues today. It was an episode about jazz piano. One piano player in an old clip started playing the second movement of Ravel’s Sonatine! I was like wow it’s a piece I know! It’s no secret that Ravel was influenced by jazz and [...]

I went back and touched up Chopin’s Waltz in C# Minor (Op64 No 2) to get it back into my repertoire again. It’s in the same key as his Fantasie-Impromptu which helps since I’m already in the appropriate mindset for the key I guess. The two pieces do have a similar sound. [...]

You may recall my article, I titled “Finish Line” about racial boundaries and life as mixed race individual. In today’s episode of Dr. Phil, a 16 old girl had issue with a previous episode where Dr Phil told a mixed race mother to make herself and her children choose one race to identify with. [...]

No, this isn’t a post about donating to this site, (Although I appreciate it! Feel free to do so!) it’s actually about organ donation. That can be a morbid topic but it’s actually about saving lives. If it was your relative who needed a new heart or lung, would you want them to [...]

Although Hussein had nothing to due with 9/11, the BBC news presents that average [...]

Notice when things are going well my entries on this site get depressing? I guess it’s because it makes me uneasy. Things can’t go on well forever!! When things do go wrong in these great periods I think I overanalyze. The worst thing about having free time is letting my mind wander [...]

You know what’s wierd? I had something on my mind just now and I dunno it was something kind of funny. Anyway, I was sitting at the piano at the time and had played half way through Chopin’s Waltz in C# minor. As you may recall from the other day’s entry I [...]

I find too often I don’t know what to say. I mean conversation is a skill and most of the time I manage, but you know when I hear something bad I never know how to say something appropriate. If someone is sick or dies I just don’t know what to say. [...]
