    Paintings to Go!

    Arts    Painting

    February 23rd, 2004 by Brian E. Young

So I’ve been thinking about creating a few paintings for sale. Before I even decided to think of subject matter to paint, I researched the practical matters of shipping and such. After some research I found a recommendation for packing material from Uline. I wrote them with an inquiry and they’re sending me a free sample to insure my painting canvases will fit in the size box they’re sending! Completely free including shipping! How great is that. From what I can see on ebay among paintings people seem to like nudity as well as nature and landscapes. Those sounds like things I would enjoy painting as well. We’ll see what I ultimately come up with. Any ideas of course are appreciated. I probably should sketch and look around for possible model material. Obviously I’m quite enjoying my painting class. I’ll show you all the painting I’ve been working on in class when its completed! If anyone would like to commission a painting for themselves of specific material I would love to accommodate you.

I’ve had ideas in the past of course and it’s been difficult. The store on my site has had zero orders. Perhaps the subject matter and medium of the prints isn’t what people are looking for. So I’m doing more research on how to make it all marketable and get something sold even if it’s at a loss. We’ll see what happens.
